Perfection is unattainable!

Whilst sitting here on the Amalfi coast I though I should write a blog post.
Firstly apologies for the lack of content, a recent illness has set me back quite a bit. It has caused me to have to take a step back from my ventures to speed my recovery!
I wanted to talk to you about perfection or the lack of it, perfection is one of those words that gets thrown about so much that its meaning has became non exsistent.
From where I stand now we should not be tracking perfection. We should be tracking success. Success is driven by accountability.
If you are stuck in the system drumming away at life everyday then you need to take a step back. Use these 3 simple steps to evaluate where you want to be in 3 years.
1. Find your passion, right it down in the center of an A4 page
2. All around your passion think of ways to monitise this passion

3. Around this right 3 things that you want to get out of your hard work. One short term, one medium and one long term goal!

These were mine 3 years ago when I created Elite Fitness Apparel.
By 20 years old I wanted to own my own house, I didn’t detail the size or location just that I wanted to own my own property.
This was my short term target.

Once I had achieved this, which I did at 20yrs and 8 months. I moved onto my next goal. Owning my childhood dream car a Nissan 350z.
It’s not too flashy and it’s not overly expensive. But it was my childhood dream. I bought my car 8 months after I moved out.

My long term goal is to own an Audi R8 by 27, this is my long term goal and what I’m still working towards.
By planning this way your able to achieve small goals, bit by bit allowing you to feel SUCCESS. My goals were not huge but each one was bigger than the last making each success more of a win to me.
I have never measured my progression based on perfection, I have measured it on success. Anyone that knows me personally will know that I tell everyone that by 27 I will have an R8. Not too be egotistical and tell people my dreams, but for accountability.
I tell everyone I know that this is what will happen, because I’m more scared of failing the target than I am about the work involved.
Success is not the art of achieving perfection, in its unattainable form. It’s the art of hitting your goals and then moving the goal post further. Making each goal more and more difficult.
Some people will say how can you ever be happy with a moving goal post, but for me it works, because each goal has been achieved. By moving it further I’m achieving a bigger long term goal.
I’m writing this whilst taking some “downtime” on the Amalfi coast scouting for wedding venues. But my passion and hunger for success is within. It’s important to take downtime, but for everyday you relax you have given away a day to success!
Hit me up via email, DM, message for any queries on business, entrepreneurship and the boring accounting bits as i would love to help!
